1. CAUSES
\nViral hepatitis is an acute, highly lethal disease of ducks, geese, turkeys, star chickens, geese and pheasants. In Vietnam, the disease is caused by a virus belonging to the Picornavirus group.
\nThe disease usually occurs in ducks < 6 weeks old, especially 1 – 3 week old ducks with high mortality rate and very rapid spread.2.<\/p>\n
2. SYMPTOMS
\nObserved ducks saw that some of them had difficulty moving, falling behind the flock.
\nThe animal is moody, poor appetite, lying in one place, head tilted back or to one side.
\nThe animal then convulses the whole body, leans the beak on the ground, straightens the legs, swims in the air, after a few minutes dies in the Opisthotonus position (head turned to the back or to the side, legs extended straight back).<\/p>\n
3. ACCUMULATE DISEASE
\nThe liver is swollen, soft, easily crushed when lightly pressed.
\nThe liver surface has extensive bleeding, without boundaries.
\nSpleen, kidney swelling, bleeding.<\/p>\n
4. PREVENTION AND TREATMENT
\nPREVENTION
\nPrevention by vaccine or injection of duck hepatitis antibodies at a dose of 0.5 – 0.8 ml\/head.
\nDo not import ducklings from areas where the disease is endemic. Ensure food, clean drinking water, ducks live in the most optimal conditions.
\nPeriodically disinfect barns, feeders, drinkers and livestock tools:
\n\u2013 Vinadin: 100ml of medicine mixed with 10 liters of water.
\n– Chlorine dioxide: 1g mixed with 1 liter of water.
\nNourish the body, strengthen the resistance with one of the products such as: B.complex, Vinamix 200, Stress-bran, Premix-vitamin-mineral…
\nCURE
\nImmediately inject duck hepatitis antibodies at a dose of 1-1.5 ml\/head.
\nSpraying disinfectants with: Vinadin, Vinadin 600, Chlorine dioxide, Vina Aqua…
\nUse one of the following antibiotics:
\n– Treatment of duck: 20g \/ 100kgP, used 3-4 days will be cured.
\n– Colivinavet: 10g of the drug for 30-40kgP\/day.
\n\u2013 Antidiarrhoea: 1 pack of 10g for 50kg body weight of poultry.
\n\u2013 Gentatylodex oral: 1g\/5 kgP\/day equivalent to 1g\/liter of water or 1g\/0.5kg of food.
\n\u2013 Ampicoli fort: Pack of 50\/200 kgP\/day.
\n\u2013 Vina colidox: 0.5-1gr\/1 liter of water\/day mixed in drinking water, equivalent to 1-2g\/10kgP\/day mixed in feed.
\nSupplement, increase resistance, enhance metabolism with one of the following drugs:
\n\u2013 B.complex for oral: One pack of 100g of medicine mixed with 300 liters of water or mixed with 100 kg of mixed feed.
\n\u2013 Vinamix 200: 1 g\/1 liter of water\/day for continuous use for 10 days or the whole farming process.
\n– Stress-bran: 1g drug mixed in 2 liters of water, the drug is used continuously for 4-5 days.
\nPREVENTION
